The Deloitte Consulting – Asset Management and Performance Team provides a dynamic environment where you will work on challenging projects, across a range of high-profile client organisations.

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will engage directly with high profile public and private sector clients on their most important and challenging business issues - addressing and solving their priority asset and operational related problems. You will also:

Use your mechanical engineering knowledge and experience to provide technical solutions to clients onsite and offsite.
Work with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of helping our clients drive profitability and performance
Work on some of the most challenging private and public sector programs across sectors including Defence, automotive and Energy and Resources
Draw on Deloitte’s unique capabilities in Structured Problem Solving, Design thinking, Digital, Data Analytics, Deloitte Access Economics and experience from our global consulting network
Undertake extensive operations and transformation focused training and development (both structured and on the job) with the opportunity to experience borderless careers through international assignments and secondments

Our Australian team draws on hands-on industry expertise and extensive experience from some of the world's largest operations and asset intensive projects. The team enables clients to set up, build and run projects with greater confidence in the results. We bring our clients this confidence through our focussed offerings, driving improved performance across transformation and operations through the application of digital technologies, business intelligence and analytics and support to project development, delivery, commissioning, operations and management.

In response to strong client demand for our services we are currently seeking outstanding consultants for our Asset Management and Performance Consulting team. We encourage anyone with asset management, operations or transformation/change experience across variety of industries, such as energy and resources, transportation, and public sector to apply.

You are someone with:

Consulting experience in a consulting firm, boutique strategy house, engineering advisory firm and / or an internal consulting/business improvement role
Developed analytical skills with a track record for solving complex business problems and the ability to exercise mature judgment
Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients
Curiosity to learn and proactivity to bring forward ideas
Strong sense of team and passion to develop others as well as self

Specific experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

Operations improvement, transformation or implementation/delivery background in Defence, automotive, Energy and Resources or similar sectors
Experience in the use of structured consulting approaches / frameworks
An understanding of supply networks and logistics
An understanding of digital technologies and data analytics, and how these are applied to optimise business outcomes
STEM related qualifications and experience
Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) skillsets which may include due diligence, problem solving, media analysis, foreign language aptitude
Major program design and delivery execution.
