MIT Lincoln Laboratory - Cyber/Intelligence Researcher

Job Description:


A successful candidate is expected to work with the leadership other research staff of the Cyber Physical Group to find and exploit relevant multi-source intelligence, provide analysis and insight, and to work collaboratively to solve difficult technical problems that require intelligence, as part of a team member in a multi-disciplinary problem area. You will engage with government sponsors to identify national needs, and lead smart and innovative teams to deliver new technologies and capabilities to address those needs. The successful candidate should be interested in the inter-disciplinary nature of the cyber-physical problem space and be willing to develop new expertise in the pursuit of solving unconventional problems.

This candidate would likely support multiple programs at any given time, and would build and fuse their knowledge of cutting edge research in the cyber domain, and use that to inform their intelligence analysis work. An ideal candidate would have experience collaborating with and synchronizing efforts by intelligence agencies an defense organization. They would have Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection and analysis expertise, and knowledge of doctrinal targeting cycle methodologies (F3EA, F3EAD, D3A). Understanding of the IC working dynamics and/or knowledge of multiple intelligence types is a plus. The successful candidate is also expected to have the ability to create and present briefings and reports in a timely manner. Ultimately this candidate would leverage their cyber domain skills to inform their intelligence analysis to better inform cyber research and development efforts at the Laboratory.

Requirements:


  • An MS degree or BS degree with a minimum of 1-3 years of direct experience in the field of intelligence or other related areas
  • Technical familiarity with Python, RDBMS, and Linux, as well as experience with embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with OSINT tools and Intelligence Analysis tooling.
  • Candidates with prior military experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability and willingness to hold a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Effective Oral and Written communications skills
  • Strong project management skills
